What is the largest amount I can exchange?

You can, in principle, exchange as much as you need, however, expect that we may require more information and documents from you on larger exchanges. In addition, we recommend that you order currency in advance for larger exchanges, so you are sure that we have the amount ready for your visit.

It is not a requirement that you order currency to exchange with us. However, we recommend that you order the currency in advance, so you are sure that we have the amount ready for your visit.

How do I order currency?

You can easily, quickly and for free order your currency here on the website if you click on order currency in the menu, located at the top of the page.

How long should I expect for an order to be ready?

An order will take 1-2 days, but it is always best to order in good time. If you are in a hurry, please contact us and learn more about whether we can process your order faster.

Can I cancel a currency order?

Yes, you can easily cancel a currency order. This can be done by contacting us by phone or via our contact form. You will find our contact information and contact form further down on this page.

Do I get a discount by becoming a customer?

If you are a returning customer do not hesitate to negotiate with us.

Why are your currency rates higher or more expensive than displayed on the website?

Our exchange rates on the website are indicative as there may be price fluctuations at some of our branches. This is to remain competitive in the individual local areas.

Identification and Personal Information

Why am I asked to show ID?

The Money Laundering Law requires that you as a customer must legitimize yourself for transactions from 15000 EUR or equivalent. You are therefore asked to show ID because the law requires us to know our customers and because it is our duty to assist the authorities in combating criminals, by ensuring that our stores are not being used for illegal activities.

What do you do with my information?

We solely collect your personal information and documents due to our legal obligations. Therefore, we only use and process your information and documents for non-commercial purposes.

Which types of identification are valid?

We accept the following types of identification in our branches: Personal ID and Passport.

Can I make a transaction if I do not want to show ID?

If you are asked to show ID and refuse this, you will not be able to make a transaction in any of our branches.

Money Transfer

What is the difference between you and the Western Union?

We, Dan Exchange, are a currency exchange company that cooperates with Western Union, which is a money transfer company, and we, therefore, act as an agent for them. When you send or receive money from us, this is done through the Western Union's Money Transfer Service.

Which countries can I send money to?

We use the Western Union Money Transfer Service for transferring and receiving money for our customer, so you can send money to almost anywhere in the world. You can find more information about which countries on the Western Union website.
